One step per line works best
Copy your steps into the checker (Scribble works) and we'll mark each line.
Behind every question
How questions work
Every question has a checked answer, the mistakes students usually make, hints and a worked solution. Your answer is marked by maths rules, not guessed by AI.
Seven kinds of question
What happens when you press Check
- 1
You answer
Type it, write it with Scribble, tap an option or pick a line.
- 2
We read it
"0.5", "1/2" and "x = 0.5" all mean the same. If we can't read it, we ask again instead of marking it wrong.
- 3
We check it
It's compared with the answer using maths rules, so 6x + 2 and 2 + 6x both count.
- 4
We look for the slip
Wrong answers are matched against common mistakes, so feedback says what went wrong.
- 5
You get feedback
Right, nearly right or not yet, with one clear next step.
- 6
Points and progress
Points reward effort. Topic status only moves on marked answers.
Difficulty
- Level 1 One step, small whole numbers
- Level 2 Two steps or a bracket
- Level 3 Several steps or a word problem
- Level 4 Spot errors, multi-part, unknowns on both sides
- Level 5 Unfamiliar or exam-style problem solving (coming later)
Two right in a row without hints moves you up a level. Two wrong in a row moves you down.
What counts
- Right, no hintsFull credit
- Right with a hint or second tryHalf credit
- Right after seeing the solutionNot counted
- Flashcard "Got it"Not counted
"Secure" needs 3 right without hints, on 2 different questions, on 2 different days.
Where these questions come from
This test version uses practice questions written for revisewise in our own words, mostly made from templates so you get fresh numbers each time. They haven't been checked by a maths teacher yet, so please use "I think this was marked wrongly" if anything looks off.
